Description

Installation Guidelines

1. De-energize the System: Turn off all electrical power supplies to the DIN rail and the surrounding components before installing, removing, or wiring the module.
2. Mount the Terminal: Snap the KS6811 Bus Terminal onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail conforming to EN 60715, ensuring the double slot and key system aligns perfectly with the adjacent terminals. Lock the integrated rail release mechanism.
3. Prepare and Connect Wiring: Remove the pluggable wiring connector block if necessary for ease of access. Strip conductors to a length of 9 to 10 mm. Actuate the tension clamp with a small flat-head screwdriver, insert the conductor, and release to secure. Re-seat the connector block firmly onto the terminal housing.
4. Connect the DALI Bus: Connect the DALI bus wires to the designated terminal points. Check polarity and verify the network configuration does not exceed 64 slaves.
5. Verify Power and Grounding: Ensure the 24 V DC feed to the power contacts and K-bus supply are within the specified limits before applying power.
6. Commissioning: Power up the system and verify the statuses of the integrated diagnostic indicators, then use TwinCAT or your preferred bus controller tool to scan and configure the connected DALI devices.
