Description

The 115M7750-01 High Voltage DC Power Input Module (PIM) is a rear-mount power interface component designed for the Bently Nevada 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies system. Installed directly behind the corresponding front-facing power supply module, the 115M7750-01 provides the primary high-voltage DC power connection and input conditioning for the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System rack.

It connects an external high-voltage DC source to the front-facing 114M5329-01 High Voltage DC Power Supply Module. This allows incoming voltage to be safely routed and converted for internal rack utilization.

Features

  • Accepts a high-voltage DC input range from 88 Vdc to 140 Vdc.
  • Uses a half-height rear module footprint directly behind the associated power supply.
  • Works with the 3500/15 High Voltage DC Power Supply Module, part number 114M5329-01.
  • Includes onboard fuse protection against over-voltage conditions.
  • Under-voltage conditions do not damage the module or power supply.
  • Supports hot-swappable replacement in dual-redundant power configurations without interrupting rack operation.

Applications

  • High-voltage DC-powered 3500 Series Machinery Protection System racks.
  • Turbomachinery vibration and condition monitoring systems.
  • Continuous machinery protection in oil and gas facilities.
  • Power generation plants.
  • Chemical and process industry installations.

Installation Guidelines

  • Rack Location: Install the module in the special half-height slot at the rear of the rack. It must be positioned directly behind the associated front-facing 3500/15 High Voltage DC Power Supply Module.
  • Redundancy Configuration: In a dual-supply system, the PIM can be inserted or replaced without interrupting rack operation, provided the second power supply remains operational.
  • Wiring and Terminal Safety: Verify that the DC power connection remains within the specified 88 to 140 Vdc range. Confirm the correct polarity before applying input power.
  • Protection and Fusing: An over-voltage event will cause the PIM fuse to open. Replace it only with the specified 129M0198 replacement fuse.

Technical Datasheet

Bently Nevada 115M7750-01 3500/15 High Voltage DC Power Input Module

What happens if an over-voltage condition occurs on the module?

An over-voltage condition on the module causes the internal fuse on the power input module to open to protect the rack electronics.

Will an under-voltage condition damage the power input module?

No, an under-voltage condition does not harm the power supply or the power input module.

Is it possible to replace the power module without shutting down the system?

Yes, if two power supplies are installed in the rack, removing or inserting a power supply module does not disrupt rack operation.
