The 136703-01 provides explosion protection as an intrinsically safe interface connected directly to the 3500 Machinery Protection System backplane and transducer systems.

Installation Guidelines

Requires a 3500/04-01 IS Earthing Module installed in the same rack to provide the internal barrier IS earth connection.
Standard 19-inch racks equipped with IS Earthing Modules are limited to 13 monitor positions.
Internal barrier I/O modules increase overall rack depth by approximately 50 mm (2 in) to provide required 50 mm (2 in) separation between hazardous and safe area field wiring.
Route hazardous area field wiring above the 3500 rack and safe area field wiring below the 3500 rack.
Group internal barrier I/O modules in adjacent rack positions to simplify field wiring separation.
Not compatible with Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) rack configurations or magnetic pick-up transducers.
