31000-28-10-00-146-00-02 is an English proximity probe housing assembly designed for 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probes. This configuration includes a connector protector (Option 28), a 1.0 meter probe cable (Option 10), and features 3/4-14 NPT mounting threads (Option 02). The housing is constructed from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), a high-strength thermoplastic offering superior corrosion resistance for demanding machinery monitoring environments.

Used to mount proximity probes through machine cases, this assembly enables external access for gap adjustments or probe replacement without the need to disassemble the machinery. Installation Guidelines

Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. The housing is installed into the machine case, followed by the insertion of the probe sleeve to adjust the probe gap. After setting the gap, the housing is fitted over the outer sleeve and secured with a retainer and retaining nut. Ensure that all conduit fittings are tightened according to specification. For unused holes, use the provided hole plugs and tighten nuts to 0.5 N-m (5 in-lbs). The 31000 housing is not an explosion-proof housing; use caution in hazardous area applications.
