Description

The 31000-28-05-20-110-00-02 is an English Proximity Probe Housing Assembly designed for secure, external mounting of proximity transducers through machine cases. This specific configuration features a 3300 XL 8 mm probe with a connector protector (Option 28), a 0.5 m (20 in) probe cable (Option 05), a 200 mm standoff adapter (Option 20), and 110 mm of probe penetration (Option 110). It is supplied without conduit fittings (Option 00) and utilizes a 3/4-14 NPT mounting thread (Option 02).

The 31000 series housing is constructed from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), a high-strength thermoplastic offering excellent corrosion resistance, complemented by corrosion-resistant stainless steel components. This assembly is fully compliant with API 670 standards for externally mounted proximity probe housings. It provides critical mechanical and environmental protection for transducer systems, allowing for external access to the probe and extension cable. Installation Guidelines

Ensure the machine casing is affixed to the bearing to obtain accurate relative vibration readings. When installing, fit the outer sleeve into the machine case, then insert the probe sleeve to adjust the required gap. Tighten the retaining nut to secure the assembly. If using hole plugs, tighten the plug nuts to 0.5 N-m (5 in-lbs) to maintain the environmental seal. Consult the user guide for detailed mounting and torque specifications.
