Installation Guidelines

Ensure correct mounting and electrical configuration during installation to maintain linear accuracy:

• Probe Gap: Install the probe at the proper mechanical gap (typically 1.27 mm or 50 mils) corresponding to the midpoint of the Proximitor sensor's calibrated linear voltage range.
• Avoid Binding: Limit internal thread engagement to a maximum of 0.563 inches during mounting to avoid binding or damaging probe casing threads.
• Connector Care: Because this option does not include a connector protector (Option 02), ensure the ClickLoc connector remains isolated from oil, moisture, or active metal contact. Use external junction boxes or heat shrink boots where necessary.
• Grounding: Connect the coaxial cable shield only at the Proximitor housing ground point following Bently Nevada drawing 141092. Never establish double ground paths.
