This eddy-current proximity probe is designed for use in critical machinery monitoring setups where rugged mechanical protection is necessary. Unlike unarmored models, the integrated stainless steel armor protects the coaxial line against abrasive environments, mechanical wear, and fluid contamination. The probe's 1.0-meter cable length coordinates with standard 3300 XL extension cables and Proximitor sensors to form a complete 5-meter or 9-meter transducer system. Standard mounting is simplified with the fully threaded 3/8-24 UNF steel case, ensuring stable positioning for high-accuracy radial vibration or axial position measurements.

Installation Guidelines

• Observe a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) to prevent damage to the internal core and outer armor.
• Mount the probe using standard 3/8-24 UNF threaded holes or bracket clamps. Torque the probe case to a maximum of 22.6 N-m (200 in-lbf) during installation.
• Clean and dry all connections before mating ClickLoc connectors. Hand-tighten (finger tight) the connectors to verify the integrated click mechanism engages.
• Secure the coaxial connection by pushing the fluorosilicone connector protector completely over the connection. Do not apply silicone tape if connections are exposed to turbine lubricants.
• Route the armored cable through suitable conduits or cable trays to prevent excessive strain or pinch points.
