Installation Guidelines

Ensure the following engineering practices are met during the installation of this proximity probe:

• Observe a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) to protect the internal FEP insulation and stainless steel armor.
• Apply the recommended case torque of 11.2 N-m (100 in-lbf) when mounting into threaded ports. Do not exceed the maximum rating of 33.9 N-m (300 in-lbf).
• Ensure the probe tip is positioned away from adjacent metals to prevent side-view interference. Maintain at least 1.5 times the probe tip diameter of lateral clearance.
• Finger-tighten the coaxial connectors. For connections exposed to turbine oil or high moisture environments, use silicone tape or connector protectors to seal the connection.
