Description

Reverse mount 3/8-24 UNF steel probe body (Option 00) with 1.8 in case length (Option 18) and 1.0 m lead length (Option 10) — 330104-00-18-10-01-05. This configuration utilizes a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector (Option 01) and includes CSA, ATEX, and IECEx hazardous area approvals (Option 05) as part of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System.

This 8 mm probe is used for non-contact eddy-current displacement measurement within 3300 XL monitoring chains. It is designed to pair with the 330180 Proximitor sensor and 330130 extension cable to monitor shaft vibration and axial position on critical rotating machinery, including steam and gas turbines, compressors, and centrifugal pumps. The reverse mount design is specifically engineered for installation in confined spaces where probe head access is limited.

Features

  • Option 05 Agency Approval: CSA, ATEX, and IECEx compliant for hazardous area installation.
  • Option 18 Case Length: 1.8 in probe case length for specific clearance requirements.
  • Option 10 Total Length: 1.0 m system length.
  • Option 01 Connection: Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector, standard cable.
  • Reverse Mount Configuration: Designed for applications requiring probe mounting from the interior or rear of the housing.
  • System Compatibility: Fully interchangeable with 3300 XL 8 mm Proximitor sensors and extension cables.

Applications

  • Radial vibration and axial position monitoring on large rotating machinery.
  • Compressor and turbine train rotor position sensing.
  • Turbine supervisory instrumentation.
  • Fluid film bearing health monitoring.

Installation Guidelines

Ensure the probe is installed in a secure, vibration-resistant location. When installing the 330104, verify that the thread engagement does not cause the probe tip to contact the rotating shaft. Use the provided locknut to maintain the required gap setting. Ensure proper shielding of extension cables to prevent electromagnetic interference. In hazardous areas, verify that the installation complies with local safety regulations regarding intrinsic safety barriers and grounding.
