Installation Guidelines

• Mounting Casing: Reverse mount probes are installed through the reverse end of a housing sleeve. Ensure the lock nut is tightened securely. Do not exceed the maximum thread engagement length of 0.563 inches to prevent binding.
• Probe Gapping: Set the nominal target gap using a caliper or by monitoring the Proximitor sensor output. Standard gap is typically 1.27 mm (50 mils) to 2.0 mm (80 mils).
• Connector Handling: Connection between the probe and extension cable ClickLoc connectors must be finger tight. Avoid over-tightening with metal pliers unless using standard non-XL stainless steel connectors, which require an extra 1/8 turn.
• Cable Routing: Route the coaxial cable avoiding sharp bends. Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) for standard cables to avoid attenuation or signal distortion. Prevent cable contact with abrasive rotating components.
