Description

Option 02 (0.2 in unthreaded length) and Option 12 (1.2 in overall case length) specify this 3300 XL 8 mm Extended Temperature Range (ETR) reverse mount probe configuration — 330195-02-12-05-00. This proximity probe features a 3/8-24 UNF-2A thread design for reverse-mount sleeve installations, allowing insertion or replacement from the rear of the machine casing. The integrated ETR cable allows installation in environments where standard probe cables would exceed their thermal limits.

This configuration has a total length of 0.5 meter (1.6 feet) and does not require hazardous area agency approvals. It connects with standard 3300 XL Proximitor sensors and extension cables, maintaining physical and electrical compatibility across the 3300 XL 8 mm transducer family.

Installation Guidelines

• Position and mount the probe back-side first into the reverse-mount probe sleeve to avoid twisting the internal cable.
• Check the initial probe gap using a micrometer or voltmeter to ensure it is set within the 3300 XL linear range before locking the sleeve nut.
• Avoid exceeding the maximum rated case torque of 11.2 Nm during installation to prevent thread damage.
• Keep ClickLoc connectors finger-tight; clean all connector contact points prior to mating to maintain low contact resistance.
• Ensure that cable routing does not bend the probe lead past the minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in).
