To establish a proper environmental seal, verify that the housing cover and all conduit connection points are fully secure. Take precautions to prevent moisture from traveling through the conduit piping into the housing. Tighten the retaining nut to the recommended torque of 29.5 N-m (260 in-lb) and the probe sleeve locknut to 39.3 N-m (350 in-lb). Maintain the recommended gap setting of 1.27 mm (50 mils) between the probe tip and the target material during setup.
