Description

330902-00-40-10-02-CN is an armored 3300 NSv proximity probe with a 1/4-28 UNF thread. It is designed for non-contacting vibration and position measurements where installation clearance is limited.

The probe operates as part of the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. A complete system consists of a 3300 NSv probe, a compatible extension cable, and a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor.

This configuration has a 0.0 in unthreaded length, a 4.0 in overall case length, and a 1.0 m total length. It includes stainless steel armor, a standard FEP-insulated coaxial cable, and a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector.

The NSv design supports applications where counterbore, side-view, rear-view, or target-size restrictions limit the use of standard 5 mm and 8 mm proximity probes.

Features

  • Armored standard-mount probe construction
  • Suitable for restricted-clearance installations
  • Improved side-view characteristics for small shafts and targets
  • Gold-plated brass ClickLoc connector
  • TipLoc probe-tip molding construction
  • CableLoc probe cable attachment
  • Increased chemical resistance for process compressor applications
  • Compatible with 3300 NSv extension cables
  • Compatible with 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensors

Applications

  • Centrifugal air compressors
  • Refrigeration compressors
  • Process gas compressors
  • Radial vibration measurements
  • Radial shaft position measurements
  • Axial thrust position measurements
  • Tachometer and zero-speed measurements
  • Phase reference and Keyphasor signal measurements
  • Fluid-film bearing machinery
  • Small-shaft monitoring applications

Connections and Interfaces

Connection Function
Miniature male coaxial ClickLoc connector Connects the probe cable to a compatible 3300 NSv extension cable
1/4-28 UNF-2A probe case thread Secures the probe in the machine housing or mounting bracket

Installation Guidelines

  • Install the probe in a correctly tapped 1/4-28 mounting hole.
  • Use a number 3 or larger tap drill when preparing the mounting hole.
  • Do not exceed 0.375 in of thread engagement.
  • Apply 5.1 N*m recommended installation torque.
  • Do not exceed the maximum torque of 7.3 N*m.
  • Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm.
  • Set the initial probe gap to 1.0 mm when used in a complete NSv system.
  • Select the extension cable so the combined system length equals 5 or 7 m.
  • Protect the ClickLoc connection from oil, moisture, and contamination.
  • Use a connector protector or approved silicone tape where required.
  • Maintain at least 25 mm tip separation for parallel axial measurements.
  • Maintain at least 23 mm tip separation for radial X-Y measurements.
  • Avoid sustained probe exposure below -34 degC to protect the pressure seal.
  • Verify that process liquids and gases remain safely contained if probe leakage occurs.

Compliance and Certifications

  • China country-specific approval package
  • NEPSI hazardous-area approval
  • CCC certification
  • ATEX hazardous-area approval
  • IECEx hazardous-area approval
  • RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU
