The 3300 NSv series operates at a higher frequency than standard Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm probes to accommodate smaller shafts and narrow collars. Under no circumstances should you mix a 3300 NSv probe with a standard 3300 XL extension cable or a standard 3300 XL Proximitor sensor. Mismatched system components will distort the RF eddy-current field generation, resulting in severe output errors, flatlined DC gap voltages, or false machinery trips on the monitoring rack.
When utilizing reverse-mount probes, verify the thread depth of the mounting port. Because these probes are threaded from the rear of the mounting bracket or sleeve, insufficient thread engagement can lead to rotational slippage or oscillation under high vibration.
