Description

The Bently Nevada 3500/15 is a high-availability power supply module designed to provide reliable, regulated power to the 3500 monitoring system rack. Installed in the left-most slots of the 3500 rack, the 127610-01 accepts a wide range of AC input voltages and converts them to the necessary DC voltages required by other modules within the same rack. The 3500/15 supports redundant configurations, allowing two modules to be installed simultaneously in a single rack to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical vibration monitoring and machinery protection systems in industrial environments.

Features

  • Supports redundant supply configurations to prevent system downtime.
  • Compatible with standard 3500 series monitoring racks.
  • Maintains consistent power delivery across fluctuating input frequencies.
  • Designed for harsh industrial conditions with extended operating temperature ratings.

Applications

  • Machinery Protection Systems (TSI)
  • Continuous Vibration Monitoring
  • Oil and Gas, Power Generation, and Petrochemical Plant Assets

Installation Guidelines

  • Slot Placement: Install the power supply module only in the dedicated power supply slots on the far left side of the 3500 rack.
  • Module Compatibility: Ensure that the AC Power Supply Module and the rear Power Input Module (PIM) match in configuration type (Universal vs. Legacy) before applying power. Universal modules are not compatible with legacy High Voltage or Low Voltage units.
  • Redundancy Setup: When using two power modules for redundancy, connect each supply to a separate, independent power source to maximize system reliability.
  • Cooling and Ventilation: Maintain adequate clearance around the rack enclosure to comply with the specified ambient operating temperature limits.

Is the universal AC power supply compatible with legacy PIM modules?

No. The universal AC Power Supply and Power Input Module (PIM) are not compatible with the legacy High Voltage AC or Low Voltage AC units.

What are the voltage limits for older revisions of the legacy high voltage supply?

Installations using AC PIMs prior to Rev. R and AC Power Supply Modules prior to Rev. M require an input voltage restricted to 175 to 250 Vac rms.

What is the environmental humidity limitation for this power supply?

The module is rated to operate in environments with up to 95% humidity, non-condensing.
