Description

The Bently Nevada 9200-02-01-10-00 is a two-wire velocity transducer engineered for continuous machinery vibration monitoring or periodic diagnostic measurements when paired with test instruments. This moving-coil device measures absolute casing vibration by generating a voltage proportional to the transducer's velocity. When selected with the integral cable configuration, the 9200-02-01-10-00 Seismoprobe provides superior resistance to corrosive environments, eliminating the need for external protective housings. It connects directly to monitoring systems to ensure dependable machinery protection and predictive maintenance data collection.

Features

  • Moving-coil design providing a self-generated voltage output proportional to velocity without external power.
  • Two-wire electrical configuration simplifying field wiring over long distances.
  • High resistance to corrosive atmospheres and environmental contaminants when equipped with the integral cable option.
  • Support for multi-angle mounting configurations optimized for specific directional vibration measurement.
  • Rugged mechanical housing designed to withstand harsh industrial environments.

Applications

  • Casing vibration monitoring on industrial pumps, fans, and blowers.
  • Predictive maintenance data collection on steam and gas turbines.
  • Continuous protection systems for gearboxes and large electric motors.
  • Diagnostic testing and structural vibration analysis in petrochemical and power generation plants.

Installation Guidelines

  • Mounting Alignment: Ensure the transducer is installed at its specified calibration angle (45 degrees for option 02) to maintain proper frequency and sensitivity accuracy.
  • Torque Application: Tighten the M10x1 circular mounting base to exactly 5.6 Nm (50 inlb). Over-torquing can damage the internal components or casing threads.
  • Cable Routing: Avoid routing transducer cables parallel to high-voltage AC power lines to minimize electro-magnetic interference (EMI) injection into the signal path.
  • Moisture Protection: For installations exposed to heavy washdowns or high humidity, utilize the integral cable option or properly seal the mating connector backshell to prevent liquid ingress.
