Description

The HIMA F3349 is a digital output module engineered for the H41q and H51q safety-related automation systems. Designed to maximize process availability, the module features a channel-by-channel shutdown mechanism. In the event of a single channel failure, only the affected channel is isolated and shut down, while all other healthy channels continue to operate without interruption. This localized fault tolerance ensures continuous production and system stability. The device integrates seamlessly into the 2oo4D/QMR (Quadruple Modular Redundant) architecture of the H41q/H51q systems and is configured using the IEC-61131-3 compliant ELOP II engineering tool.

Features

  • Channel-by-channel fault isolation and shutdown
  • Maintains active operation of healthy channels during a single-channel fault
  • Increases overall process availability and system fault tolerance
  • Fully compatible with HIMA H41q and H51q safety system architectures
  • Supports online module replacement without process interruption
  • Configurable via ELOP II software with drag-and-drop functionality

Applications

  • Emergency shut-down systems (ESD)
  • Burner management systems (BMS)
  • Fire and gas monitoring systems (F&G)
  • High-integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS)
  • Chemical and petrochemical process automation
  • Offshore drilling platform safety circuits
