Installation Guidelines

1. Inspect the assembly visually prior to installation to ensure connector pins and terminal strips are undamaged.
2. Verify that total panel load calculations account for the assembly's rated heat dissipation of 7.330 W.
3. Mount the IOTA onto the designated Series C Channel Carrier Assembly (CCA) inside the cabinet enclosure.
4. Connect the I/O Link cables (IOLINK1 / IOLINK2) using the designated color-coded cable assemblies and install the required push-on address jumpers.
5. Land 220 VAC discrete input conductors on the field screw terminals, observing local wiring standards and line phase isolation.
6. Connect all field cable shield conductors to the dedicated shield landing bus bar on the CCA structure.
7. Ensure the primary AC safety ground bar and local cabinet ground frame are properly bonded per NEC Section 250 or applicable local code.

Configuration / Commissioning / Replacement

• Configuration: Assign the appropriate address jumper (1–40) corresponding to the hardware configuration assigned in Experion Control Builder.
• Commissioning: Prior to applying 220 VAC field excitation, verify all terminal screws are tightened to standard electrical panel torque specifications and check phase continuity. Confirm system status LEDs on inserted CC-PDIH01 modules indicate active or standby operational states.
• Replacement: To replace an associated digital input module, release the module retention latches and draw the active or secondary IOM straight out from the assembly. The CC-TDI230 redundant architecture permits module swapping without disrupting field wiring or requiring power removal from the partner channel.
