Installation Guidelines

  • Chassis Mounting: Insert the module into two adjacent chassis slot positions in a compatible Series-A chassis (4, 7, 10, 13, or 17-slot chassis). Ensure total backplane power limits are maintained.

  • Cabinet Clearance: Maintain a minimum vertical distance of 15.2 cm (6.0 in) and horizontal distance of 10.2 cm (4.0 in) between chassis and enclosure walls for heat dissipation.

  • Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP): Permitted only when installed in ordinary, non-hazardous locations. RIUP is strictly prohibited in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations without a hot work permit.

  • Environmental Protection: Enclose the assembly within a NEMA 4 or NEMA 12 panel when required by local codes or operational standards.
