It is critical to match the total physical length of the probe and extension cable (typically 9.0 meters total or 5.0 meters total) to the specific calibration length marked on the Proximitor sensor face. Mixing mismatched system lengths will directly result in non-linear sensor calibration errors.
While the FEP outer insulation offers superior resistance against standard turbine oils, synthetic lubricants can degrade certain seals over extended multi-year runs. The FluidLoc option (Option 10) prevents standard pressurized oils from entering the cable structure in the event of a probe-side seal failure, mitigating the risk of process fluids migrating into the safe-area instrument enclosures.
