Designed for decentralized automation tasks, the EP4378-1022 accommodates high-density digital and analog signals within a ruggedized, field-mountable housing. This Beckhoff EtherCAT Box serves as a versatile combination module, integrating 8 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs, 4 analog inputs, and 4 analog outputs. By providing comprehensive I/O capabilities directly on the machine, it eliminates the requirement for protective control cabinets and complex terminal boxes.
The analog channels on the module are highly adaptable, supporting both current and voltage modes (-10/0 to +10 V or -20/0/4 to +20 mA) customizable per individual channel at a precise 16-bit resolution. Built-in M12 connector interfaces ensure sealed, vibration-resistant connections under demanding industrial conditions, drastically reducing field wiring complexity and installation time.
