The BECKHOFF BK7000 is a ControlNet Bus Coupler designed to connect ControlNet networks with the modular electronic terminal blocks. Serving as a node in a distributed automation system, this coupler handles the data exchange between the higher-level ControlNet master and the connected Bus Terminals. It automatically detects connected Bus Terminals during the boot-up phase and establishes the local K-bus communication structure, mapping the peripheral signals into the internal process image.

Equipped with dual BNC female connectors and a programming port (NAP), the BK7000 integrates seamlessly into industrial communication architectures. It supports up to 64 Bus Terminals natively, with extension capabilities allowing connection to larger signal groupings. Power distribution is managed through integrated power contacts, supplying both the internal electronics and the field level efficiently while maintaining electrical isolation between the communication interface, field-side supply, and system levels.
