Installation Guidelines

• Chassis Slot Insertion: Slide the half-height module carefully into the designated slots on the far left side of the 3500 rack frame. Firmly seat the card into the rear backplane and hand-tighten the faceplate screws.
• Redundant Slot Mapping: Install the primary power supply bundle into the lower slot position and place the optional redundant backup unit in the upper slot position directly above it.
• Hot-Swap Maintenance: If a dual-supply system is powered, you can remove a faulty power supply or its corresponding rear Power Input Module (PIM) without powering down the rack or interrupting machinery protection.
• ESD Prevention Precautions: Always clip an approved electrostatic discharge wrist strap onto the unpainted rack frame before extracting or handling the circuit boards to shield sensitive components from static discharge.
