Installation Guidelines

Ensure that the machine casing is properly affixed to the bearing housing to maintain accurate relative vibration signals. When installing, insert the outer sleeve into the machine case, then insert the probe sleeve and adjust the proximity probe gap to the specified range. Tighten the retaining nut to secure the housing. If hole plugs are used, tighten to 0.5 N-m (5 in-lbs). For probe penetration lengths exceeding 12 in (305 mm), additional sleeve support is required to prevent resonance.
