Tutto sui PLC: la CPU
A practical engineering guide to PLC CPU operation, from deterministic scan cycles and I/O image tables to memory, communications, diagnostics, redundancy, processor sizing, and reliable system...
The Bently Nevada 3300/35 is a specialized temperature monitoring module within the legacy 3300 Monitoring System. It is designed to provide six independent channels of continuous, online temperature monitoring for critical machinery. This module is specifically used with Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) to monitor bearing temperatures, stator windings, and other vital thermal points in turbines, compressors, and pumps.
| Feature | Specification |
| Model | 3300/35 |
| Input Type | Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD) |
| Number of Channels | 6 Independent Channels |
| Accuracy | ±2.2% of signal (at +25°C / +77°F) |
| Recorder Outputs | +4 to +20 mA, 0 to -10 Vdc, or +1 to +5 Vdc |
| Operating Temperature | 0°C to +65°C (+32°F to +150°F) |
| Storage Temperature | -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F) |
| Physical Size | Two rack positions (Occupies 2 slots in 3300 Rack) |
| Weight | ~0.8 kg to 2.8 kg (depending on configuration) |
Six Independent Channels: Monitors six separate points simultaneously, allowing for comprehensive thermal protection in a compact footprint.
RTD Support: Optimized for standard RTD types, most commonly 100$\Omega$ Platinum (0.00385 coefficient).
Alarms: Provides configurable Alert and Danger setpoints for each channel to trigger early warnings or automatic machine trips.
Front Panel Interface: Features a 7-segment LCD display (instead of the bargraphs used on vibration modules) to show actual temperature values per channel.
The 3300/35 is configured using the following suffix code format: 3300/35-AXX-BXX-CXX-DXX-EXX
01: 0 to 100°C
02: 0 to 200°C
03: 0 to 150°C
04: 0 to 250°C
05: 32 to 212°F
06: 32 to 392°F
(Other regional and custom ranges available)
01: 100 Ohm Platinum (0.00385) - 3-wire
02: 100 Ohm Platinum (0.00392) - 3-wire
03: 10 Ohm Copper - 3-wire
04: 120 Ohm Nickel - 3-wire
06: 100 Ohm Platinum (0.00385) - 4-wire
00: No Relays
01: Epoxy-sealed
02: Hermetically-sealed
00: Not required
01: CSA/NRTL/C (Class 1, Div 2)
02: ATEX self-certification
00: None
01: External Barriers
02: Internal Barriers
Space Requirements: Unlike standard vibration monitors that occupy one slot, the 3300/35 is a "Double-Wide" module and occupies two rack positions.
Wiring: For 3-wire RTDs, lead wire resistance compensation is critical for accuracy. Use high-quality shielded triad cable for all field connections.
LCD Display: The front panel "Display" button allows the user to cycle through the six channels to view current values, Peak Hold values, and Alarm Setpoints.
