This proximity probe is used for non-contact vibration and displacement measurement in rotating machinery. It features a wider 4.0 mm (160 mils) linear range compared to standard 8 mm probes, which is suitable for thrust position, differential expansion, or reciprocating compressor rod position monitoring. The unarmored cable design allows direct connection to a compatible 3300 XL extension cable to achieve a total system length of 5.0 meters or 9.0 meters. Gold-plated ClickLoc connectors provide a secure, locked mating connection, preventing loosening in vibrating environments.

Installation Guidelines
Ensure the 5/8-18 UNF-2A thread is handled carefully during installation to prevent damage. Apply a recommended mounting torque of 15.2 N-m (133 in-lb), and do not exceed the maximum rating of 45.2 N-m (400 in-lb). Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) along the entire run of the 1.0-meter standard triaxial cable.
To establish a clean, moisture-sealed connection with the extension cable, use connector protectors or wrap the connection in silicone self-fusing tape. Align the probe to a 2.5 mm (100 mils) nominal gap relative to the AISI 4140 steel target for standard linear range operation.
