Using a non-NSv sensor with this probe will result in severe scale factor errors. Always pair the 330901 probe with the designated 3300 NSv Proximitor Sensor (e.g., Series 330980).
Due to the small physical size of the 3300 NSv probe tip, the RF field is highly concentrated. If the target shaft diameter is less than 50 mm (2.0 inches), target curvature effects will distort the linear range. Additionally, ensure that adjacent structural metals (such as bearing housings or locknuts) are kept at a minimum distance of three probe tip diameters away from the center of the probe tip to prevent side-loading errors and signal attenuation.
When routing the probe cable through conduit, do not pull directly on the ClickLoc connector, as this will damage the miniature crimp joints inside. Always use a connector protector tool. For harsh environments with oil or steam exposure, ensure that connection joints are insulated with self-fusing silicone tape or a connector protector kit to prevent fluid intrusion, which degrades coaxial impedance.
