The LG1093AA46 is physically and electrically interchangeable with standard GE part number 261A1812P15. It must be paired with Honeywell EG1033 series controller modules to process the phototube output. Note that this standard UV sensor is not compatible with GE/NP DLE (Dry Low-NOx) gas turbines. DLE turbines produce different flame emission signatures and require pre-selected, specialized UV sensors not available under standard Honeywell commercial designations.
The internal Geiger-Mueller tube will degrade rapidly if operated continuously above its maximum limit of 176 degC. In high-ambient compartments, proper cooling air or isolation mounts should be implemented to protect the internal optics. Additionally, because oil mist, soot, and heavy moisture absorb UV light in the 180 to 260 nm band, even minor window contamination can severely decrease sensitivity, resulting in false flame-out alarms despite an active combustion profile. Periodic inspection of the 10-bar rated optical window is critical.
The sensor's integral Teflon-shielded cable must be routed through dedicated, grounded metal conduit. Avoid running the high-sensitivity signal cable adjacent to high-voltage ignition transformer leads or heavy motor power lines to prevent EMI-induced false flame indications. Ensure the cable shield is tied directly to the designated instrument ground at the EG1033 amplifier side only; do not ground the shield at both ends to prevent ground loops.

Thread the sensor onto the mounting pipe. Apply a high-temperature, anti-seize compound strictly to the external threads of the mounting pipe, ensuring no material contacts the viewing window.
Connect the 1-inch external conduit thread to the flexible protection conduit. Route the 61-foot Teflon-shielded cable to the junction box or cabinet housing the EG1033 amplifier module.
