Description

ICS Triplex T8111 is a fault-tolerant main processing component designed for the Trusted system architecture. Operating in a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) lock-step configuration across three independent Processor fault containment regions (FCRs), the T8111 executes user-defined application programs, performs system monitoring, and manages I/O data exchanges across the triplicated Inter-Module Bus. The module integrates two configurable RS422/485 serial ports, one dedicated RS485 2-wire serial port, an RS232 front panel diagnostic interface, and built-in IRIG-B time synchronization capabilities. The ICS Triplex T8111 is designed for critical safety instrumented functions and process control applications requiring high availability and fault isolation.

  • Electrostatic Discharge Safety: Static handling precautions must be observed. Do not touch exposed connector pins or attempt to open the module housing.
  • Insertion Procedure: Ensure the rear adapter unit is installed. Release top and bottom ejector tabs fully using the release key, slide the module smoothly into its designated chassis slot, and press the fascia until the ejectors click locked.
  • Key Switch Positions: Set the maintenance enable keyswitch to 'Run' to lock memory during standard execution, or 'Maintain' to enable application downloads from the workstation.
