The Triconex 3511 is a pulse input module designed for high-reliability industrial speed measurement and pulse monitoring applications. Operating within a 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz frequency range, the module processes incoming pulse trains and integrates with Tricon v9 to v10 Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) safety and critical control platforms.

Installation Guidelines

  • Grounding & Shielding: Ensure field signal cables are properly shielded and grounded to prevent signal degradation in high EMI/RFI industrial environments.
  • DIN Rail Mounting: Install external termination panels on standard DIN rails conforming to DIN 50 022. Attach ground terminal blocks at both ends of the panel assembly for high shock, vibration, or seismic environments.
  • Connector Keying: Verify physical keying on the backplane and cable connectors prior to mating to prevent accidental connection to incorrect signal sources.
  • Termination Torque: Tighten field wiring screw terminals on associated termination panels to 4.425–5.310 lbf in (0.5–0.6 Nm).
