The 3500/04-01  (Replaced by 3500/04-01-00) provides an intrinsically safe (IS) earth connection through the 3500 system backplane for transducer systems connected directly to the machinery protection system. This 3500/04 Internal Barriers Earthing Module is a required core component in any 3500 rack configuration that incorporates intrinsically safe internal barrier I/O modules. By providing a dedicated low-impedance path to the system ground, it ensures proper fault current dissipation and explosion protection within hazardous area installations without degrading overall monitor performance.
