Description

The BECKHOFF C9900-E505 is a dedicated push-button extension designed for integration with BECKHOFF CP6xxx and CP7xxx control panels and panel PCs featuring a 15-inch display without a keyboard. This operator interface extension provides physical control elements to supplement touchscreen functionality in industrial automation environments. Currently classified in the service phase, the unit mounts to the right side of compatible control hardware and offers a combination of illuminated push-buttons and a dedicated emergency stop switch.

Signal transmission for the integrated keys and lamps is handled via CP-Link or USB connection. In addition to bus-transmitted signals, the push-buttons feature dual-contact architecture to support direct wiring requirements where physical auxiliary circuits are necessary. Laser-printable or manually insertable caps allow for individual functional labeling of each key.

Installation Guidelines

1. Ensure the associated BECKHOFF Control Panel or Panel PC is completely de-energized before beginning mechanical installation.
2. Verify that the control panel model is compatible with the right-side mounting configuration of the C9900-E505 extension.
3. Mount the push-button extension securely to the right side of the 15-inch control panel using the designated fastening points.
4. Connect the signal and communication lines via CP-Link or USB as required by the panel architecture.
5. Terminate any secondary normally-open contacts directly to the internal terminal row if direct hardwired control loops are utilized.
6. Check all mechanical connections, emergency stop wiring, and communication links before restoring power to the control system.
