Description
The Bently Nevada 129478-01 High Voltage dc Power Input Module (PIM) is a Power Input Module designed for machinery protection system power distribution. The module is a special half-height rear card located directly behind the associated 129486-01 High Voltage dc Power Supply Module within the 3500/15 power supply system. It accepts an input voltage of 88 to 140 Vdc, routing power through the internal rack power bus architecture to support machinery monitoring and protection hardware. The module incorporates input fuse protection, where an over-voltage condition causes the fuse to open to protect downstream components, while under-voltage conditions cause no harm to the module.
Features
Accepts an input voltage range of 88 to 140 Vdc
Mounts directly behind the associated power supply module in a half-height rear slot
Contains an integrated over-voltage input fuse protection system
Supports full 3500 rack current draw up to 2.5 A maximum
Applications
Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Protection Systems
Industrial machinery condition monitoring systems
Redundant and primary power input distribution setups

Installation Guidelines
The power input module is a special half-height module located directly behind the associated power supply module on the left side of the rack. Mount the unit in the dedicated rear rack slot. Ensure proper fuse placement (replacement fuse part number 01720025) prior to applying power. No minimum rack load is required for operation.

FAQ
Where is the module physically installed inside the 3500 rack housing?
The module installs in a special half-height rear slot directly behind the associated 129486-01 power supply module.
What happens to the device during an electrical over-voltage condition?
An input over-voltage causes the internal input fuse to open, preventing damage to the power distribution circuitry.
Does the system require a minimum electrical load to maintain power output?
No minimum rack load is required for the module to operate properly within the chassis.
