Installation Guidelines

• Mount the probe with the appropriate probe gap as specified by system calibration (typically 1.27 mm or 50 mils for a standard range of 2.0 mm / 80 mils).
• Route the FluidLoc probe cable using standard low-noise coaxial routing techniques. Avoid sharp bends, maintaining a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in).
• Shielding and grounding: ensure proper shielding and grounding practices are observed to eliminate electromagnetic interference (EMI). Connect the shield to the Proximitor sensor housing or appropriate instrumentation ground.
• Tighten the probe case lock nut using safety wire holes if required to prevent rotational loosening under high machine vibration.
