Ensure the mounting bracket or bearing casing provides a clean, dry thread match for the 3/8-24 UNF housing. Mount the probe with the appropriate physical gap (typically set to -9 Vdc or approximately 1.27 mm / 50 mils for radial vibration measurements) relative to the target shaft. When threading the probe, do not exceed the maximum recommended thread engagement of 0.563 inches to prevent binding or mechanical damage.
