Installation Guidelines

• Perpendicular Mounting: Ensure the threaded probe body is mounted perpendicular to the observed shaft target. Improper alignment may cause calibration skew.
• Gap Adjustment: Adjust the mechanical probe gap to the designated operating range (typically 1.27 mm or 50 mils) to center the sensor output signal in the linear range.
• Lock Nut Torque: Apply proper locking torque to the 3/8-24 UNF mounting nut to prevent mechanical backing out under operating vibration. Utilize lock washers or pre-drilled safety wire holes as recommended.
• Cable Protection: Although this FluidLoc cable prevents internal oil bypass, avoid routing the cable over sharp edges or putting it under tension. Observe a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch).
