The Bently Nevada 330101-37-57-10-02-05 is a high-performance, non-contact 8 mm proximity probe designed for critical machinery protection and condition monitoring systems. Operating on the eddy-current principle, this transducer delivers highly accurate measurements of static position and dynamic shaft vibration. Unlike standard models, this specific configuration is tailored with a 3.7-inch unthreaded body length, a 5.7-inch overall threaded case length, and a 1.0-meter (3.3 ft) standard coax cable without mechanical armor. Terminated with a gold-plated miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector, this robust probe is certified under major hazardous area standards (CSA, ATEX, IECEx) to ensure exceptional reliability in harsh petrochemical, power generation, and gas turbine applications.

As part of the 3300 XL series, this probe is fully interchangeable with other standard 3300 XL 8 mm components. It functions as a complete measuring chain when connected to a 330180 series Proximitor sensor and a corresponding 3300 XL extension cable. This provides a total system length of either 5 or 9 meters, allowing linear displacement monitoring of industrial shafts with excellent thermal stability and minimal system calibration error.

Installation Guidelines

• Prior to mounting, ensure that the target area consists of AISI 4140 steel or matching calibration material for correct scale factor output.
• Ensure the probe gap is set correctly using a digital voltmeter, typically at -9 Vdc (approximately 1.27 mm or 50 mils) for radial vibration monitoring.
• Unthreaded length must be selected to allow the threaded case section to fully engage with the mounting bracket, ensuring mechanical stability.
• Keep ClickLoc connectors clean, dry, and free of oil. Tighten to finger-tight to secure electrical continuity.
• Route the transducer cables through protective conduit and isolate shields to prevent electromagnetic and electrical noise interference.
