Description

Fully threaded M10 x 1 metric probe body with stainless steel armor (Option 00 unthreaded) specifies the 330104-00-08-90-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe configuration, featuring an 80 mm case length and a 9.0 m total length.

This armored configuration prevents mechanical wear and abrasion on the triaxial FEP cable in severe industrial environments. The probe incorporates a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector (Option 02) and holds ATEX, IECEx, and CSA approvals (Option 05) for hazardous locations.

Features

  • Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector (Option 02) provides standard coaxial coupling without a connector protector.
  • Metrically threaded M10 x 1 probe body with integrated AISI 302 or 304 stainless steel armor protects against mechanical wear.
  • Total length of 9.0 meters (Option 90) connects directly to standard 9-meter Proximitor systems.
  • Zero unthreaded length (Option 00) and 80 mm case length (Option 08) provide deep thread depth for thick machine casings.
  • Certified under ATEX, IECEx, and CSA hazardous area frameworks (Option 05).

Applications

  • Fluid-film bearing radial vibration and axial position measurements on steam turbines, gas turbines, and compressors.
  • Shaft displacement and casing expansion monitoring on industrial pumps and cooling tower fans.
  • Keyphasor reference measurements and speed sensing on high-speed rotating shafts.

Installation Guidelines

Keep the minimum bend radius of the armored cable to 25.4 mm to prevent signal degradation or physical breakage.

Torque the M10 x 1 probe body to the recommended 22.6 N-m (200 in-lbf) during installation. Do not exceed the maximum rated engagement of 15 mm.

Maintain adequate physical clearance between the 8.0 mm probe tip and neighboring structural components to prevent electrical cross-talk or physical damage.

Finger-tighten the miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector to 0.565 N-m (5 in-lbf) torque. Do not use pliers or other mechanical tools on gold ClickLoc connectors.
