Installation Guidelines

Proper installation of the probe is essential for accurate displacement and vibration measurements. Observe the following guidelines:

• Maintain a thread engagement length of no more than 15 mm for the M10 x 1 case thread to avoid binding or damage.
• Ensure the probe tip is positioned at the correct gap (typically 1.27 mm or 50 mils) from the target shaft before locking the mounting thread.
• Do not exceed the recommended tightening torque during coaxial connector mating. Hand-tighten the miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector (finger tight).
• Ensure the flexible stainless steel armor is routed with a minimum bend radius to prevent internal coaxial cable damage.
• Maintain appropriate clearance (minimum 20 mm) from surrounding metals to prevent probe crosstalk or target interference.
