Option 03 (30 mm unthreaded length) and Option 12 (120 mm overall case length) specify this 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe configuration — 330104-03-12-10-02-00. This eddy-current transducer features integrated stainless steel armor with a protective FEP outer jacket, M10 x 1 metric thread, a 1.0-meter total cable length, and a miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector without a connector protector. It functions as part of a non-contact displacement measurement system, pairing with a 3300 XL extension cable and a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor.

Unlike standard non-armored variants such as the 330103 model, the 330104 configuration provides rugged physical shielding for the coaxial cable inside harsh industrial environments, shielding the transmission lead from mechanical wear, cutting, and flying debris. This 1.0-meter option is calibrated for standard 3300 XL proximity system configurations, transferring displacement and vibration signals from rotating shafts to monitoring instruments with a nominal sensitivity of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil).

Installation Guidelines

• Target Calibration: The system is calibrated for AISI 4140 steel. If utilizing other rotor shaft alloys, recalibration of the Proximitor sensor is necessary to maintain accuracy.
• Thread Engagement Limits: For M10 x 1 threads, the maximum length of thread engagement is 15 mm. Avoid exceeding this limit to prevent binding.
• Cable Routing: Maintain minimum bend radii for armored cables (typically 25 mm or 1.0 inch). Keep probe cables isolated from high-power AC lines to minimize electromagnetic interference.
• Connector Handling: Clean the miniature coaxial connectors before mating. Tighten the gold ClickLoc connectors finger tight to achieve standard locking engagement. Do not use tools on ClickLoc connections unless adapting to non-XL stainless steel connections.
• Case Mounting: Tighten the probe body using the 17 mm hex nut. Use safety wire holes in mounting screws if required by local installation practices.
