Description

Option 02 (0.2 in unthreaded length) and Option 12 (1.2 in overall case length) specify this unique 3300 XL 8 mm reverse mount proximity probe configuration — 330105-02-12-02-05-00.

Unlike standard front-mount probes that thread in from the outside of a machine casing, this reverse-mount variant is designed to thread in from the rear of the mounting bracket or probe sleeve. This design helps prevent probe damage during casing disassembly and is especially suited for installations inside sleeve housings or internal bearing blocks. It is fully compatible with the 3300 XL series Proximitor sensors and standard extension cables.

Features

  • Option 02 unthreaded length provides exactly 0.2 in (5.0 mm) of clearance before the threaded section begins.
  • Option 12 overall case length provides a compact 1.2 in (30 mm) threaded body with 3/8-24 UNF-2A casing threads.
  • Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector offers a secure, vibration-resistant coupling with the extension cable.
  • Option 00 agency approval indicates that this configuration is designed for standard, non-hazardous areas.
  • Viton O-ring pressure seal prevents gas and liquid leakage between the probe tip and casing.
  • Reverse mount installation allows the probe to be secured from the back of the mounting housing or bracket.

Applications

  • Machinery protection and condition monitoring systems.
  • Radial vibration and axial position measurements on steam and gas turbines.
  • Shaft position monitoring on high-speed compressors, pumps, and gearboxes.
  • Fluid-film bearing clearance measurements in tight spaces where standard probes cannot be fitted.

  • Maintain proper gap according to the Proximitor Sensor calibration (typically 1.27 mm / 50 mils for mid-range).
  • Use recommended phenolic or aluminum mounting brackets to isolate the probe body from casing electrical fields when required.
  • Observe minimum bend radius for coaxial cable (25.4 mm or 1.0 in).
  • Reverse-mount installation requires sliding the probe into the mounting sleeve or bracket from the back side and tightening the lock nut.

Compliance and Certifications

  • Non-Hazardous Area Use Only (Option 00)
  • CE Mark (Directive 2014/30/EU - Electromagnetic Compatibility)

Technical Datasheet

Bently Nevada 330105-02-12-02-05-00 3300 XL 8 mm Reverse Mount Proximity Probe

What does the reverse-mount design of the Bently Nevada 330105-02-12-02-05-00 probe mean?

The reverse-mount design means the probe is threaded and installed from the rear side of the bracket or sleeve rather than the front, making it ideal for narrow clearances or sleeve enclosures.

What are the specific unthreaded and case length dimensions for this SKU?

The 330105-02-12-02-05-00 probe features a 0.2 inch (5.0 mm) unthreaded length (Option 02) and a 1.2 inch (30 mm) overall case length (Option 12) with a 3/8-24 UNF-2A thread.

Is the Bently Nevada 330105-02-12-02-05-00 probe approved for hazardous locations?

No, this specific configuration has the Option 00 agency approval, which indicates that it is designed for non-hazardous or standard industrial areas only.
