Description

330901-04-35-50-01-00 specifies this 3300 NSv proximity probe configuration featuring a 1/4-28 UNF thread without armor, a 0.4 in unthreaded length, a 3.5 in overall case length, a 5.0 m total length, and a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with connector protector.

This non-contact eddy-current displacement sensor is used for shaft vibration and axial position measurement in environments with tight clearances or small target areas. It is mechanically and electrically compatible with previous 3300 RAM proximity probe systems and provides a linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils). This model pairs with a 330980 Proximitor Sensor and a 330930 extension cable to form a complete 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. The probe body features increased chemical resistance for process compressor installations, and the gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors lock into place to prevent connection loosening.

Features

  • Thread configuration: 1/4-28 UNF-2A thread, without stainless steel armor.
  • Unthreaded length: 0.4 in (Option 04) for thread depth adjustment.
  • Overall case length: 3.5 in (Option 35) to match specific machine housing requirements.
  • Total probe length: 5.0 m (Option 50) of FEP-insulated probe cable.
  • Connector configuration: Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with fluorosilicone connector protector (Option 01).
  • Materials: Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) tip and AISI 304 stainless steel case for robust chemical resistance.
  • Mechanical coupling: Patented TipLoc molding provides a bond between the probe tip and the probe case.
  • Cable protection: Patented CableLoc design provides 220 N pull strength between probe cable and tip.

Applications

  • Radial vibration and radial position measurements on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2.0 in).
  • Axial position measurements on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).
  • Centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and process gas compressors.
  • Tachometer, zero-speed measurements, and Keyphasor phase reference.
  • Machinery monitoring with tight installation requirements and limited target geometry.

Installation Guidelines

  • Grounding: Ensure proper shield grounding to prevent high-frequency radio signal interference.
  • Connector Protectors: Install the included fluorosilicone connector protectors over the ClickLoc junctions to prevent fluid contamination.
  • Target Size: For radial measurements, use on shaft diameters 51 mm (2.0 in) or larger to avoid change in scale factor. For axial targets, ensure a minimum flat target size of 15 mm (0.6 in).
  • Counterbore clearance: Maintain a counterbore clearance of at least 13 mm (0.5 in) to avoid side-view interference at far gaps.

Compliance and Certifications

  • EMC Directive: 2014/30/EU (EN 61000-6-2, EN 61000-6-4)
  • RoHS Directive: 2011/65/EU (China RoHS EFUP 15 years)
