Installation Guidelines

• Ensure the probe cable and armor respect the minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) during installation and routing.
• Tighten the 1/4-28 UNF probe case to the recommended installation torque of 5.1 N m (45 in lb); do not exceed the maximum rated limit of 7.3 N m (65 in lb) to avoid case damage.
• Ensure the unthreaded probe length is at least 0.7 inches less than the case length to maintain structural support.
• Use a mechanical gap setting of 1.0 mm (40 mils) to position the system in the center of its 1.5 mm linear range.
• Protect standard probe-to-extension cable connections using connector protectors or silicone tape to prevent oil and moisture ingress. Do not apply silicone tape if exposed to turbine oil.
