Description

The Bently Nevada 330930-045-00-00 is a 75-ohm coaxial extension cable designed for use within the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. It serves as a mechanical and electrical link between a 3300 NSv proximity probe and a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor. Engineered for machines with tight installation requirements, such as centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and process gas compressors, this extension cable supports precision measurements where counterbore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit standard setups. The 330930-045-00-00 features gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors that lock securely into place to prevent loosening from machine vibration.

Features

  • Coaxial 75-ohm design insulated with fluoroethylene propylene (FEP) for clean signal transmission.
  • Gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors provide a secure, vibration-proof connection.
  • Mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with previous 3300 RAM series components.
  • Rated for high tensile strength up to 220 N (50 lb) at the probe-lead-to-extension-cable connection.

Applications

  • Centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and process gas compressors.
  • Fluid-filmed bearing machines with small shafts or tight clearance restrictions.
  • Radial vibration, radial position, and axial (thrust) position measurements.
  • Tachometer, zero speed, and Phase reference (Keyphasor) signal routing.

Installation Guidelines

  • System Length Match: Ensure that the 4.5-meter extension cable length and the chosen probe length, when added together, match the Proximitor Sensor total system length option (either 5.0 meters or 7.0 meters).
  • Bend Radius: Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) when routing the extension cable to protect the internal conductor structure.
  • Connector Protection: Use connector protectors or silicone self-fusing tape on the probe-to-extension cable connection to keep liquids out of the ClickLoc interfaces. Note that silicone tape is not recommended if exposed to turbine oil.
