Description

The 3500/91-01-CN is an Ethernet Global Data (EGD) communication gateway module designed for the Bently Nevada 3500 machinery protection system. This module provides comprehensive communication capabilities for transmitting 3500 rack-monitored values, statuses, data values (float), and setpoints (float) over an Ethernet network path. It interfaces directly with EGD protocol compatible controllers to deliver response times suitable for demanding industrial controller applications. The module enables integration via Ethernet UDP/IP frames , processing both producer exchanges and consumer exchanges such as group resets, group trip multiplies, group alarm inhibits, and group special alarm inhibits.

Features

  • Provides integration of 3500 rack values with EGD protocol compatible controllers.
  • High-speed data transfer via Ethernet UDP/IP protocol.
  • Supports EGD version 2.01 protocol.
  • Front panel LEDs indicate module operational health (OK LED) and rack communication status ($TX/RX$ LED).
  • Accommodates different physical layers including 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX (twisted pair) and 100BASE-FX (fiber optic) via interchangeable I/O modules.

Applications

  • Machinery protection and condition monitoring systems.
  • Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) integration.
  • Power generation facilities, petrochemical plants, and heavy industrial processing environments requiring real-time machinery asset data.
