The GE Fanuc IC695PSD040F is a 40-Watt DC-to-DC power supply designed for installation in PACSystems RX3i Universal Backplanes (IC695 series). Operating from an input voltage source in the range of 18 VDC to 30 VDC , this module provides three essential internal outputs: +5.1 VDC , +24 VDC relay power to supply circuits on Output Relay modules , and +3.3 VDC utilized internally by RX3i modules with IC695 catalog numbers. The IC695PSD040F model specifically resolves an issue identified in previous revisions where the power supply occasionally failed to power up when installed in a 16-Slot Universal Backplane (IC695CHS016). It occupies exactly one backplane slot and features an internal diagnostic fault reporting system that communicates with the CPU to log system faults or power loss occurrences.

Installation Guidelines

• Backplane Limitation: Install only one IC695PSD040F power supply in a single PACSystems RX3i Universal Backplane. It cannot be utilized in multiple power supply systems to achieve load sharing or reduncancy.
• Connection Polarity: Ensure connection polarity is identical at each RX3i power supply when using the same external DC power source across multiple units to prevent equipment damage or personal injury.
• Common Grounding: Connect each backplane to a common system ground, keeping frame ground wiring paths as short as possible.
• Wiring Terminal Torque: Strip individual wire ends between 9 mm and 11 mm. Insert fully into the terminal before tightening. Do not exceed the maximum terminal screw torque limit of 0.5 N-m (4.4 inch-lbs).
• High-Potential Testing: Temporarily disable overvoltage protection by removing the jumper strap from the bottom terminal prior to running a Hi-pot test. Reinstall the jumper once testing is complete.
