Description

The Woodward 8200-1300 is a digital governor from the 505 turbine control series designed for steam turbine applications. The unit provides digital control for single or dual split range actuator steam turbines, functioning either as a standalone unit or integrated within a plant's distributed control system (DCS).

The 8200-1300 features five internal PID controllers, including a speed/load PID controller, a cascade PID controller, and AUX1 and AUX2 PID controllers. An integrated operator control panel includes an 8.4-inch graphical control panel display and a 34-key keypad equipped with an emergency stop button, control navigation buttons, and four diagnostic status LEDs (CPU health, IO Lock, Summary Alarm, and Summary Trip). Internally, the unit utilizes a watchdog timer and a CPU fault circuit to continuously monitor microprocessor and memory health.
