The EL3443-0011 is specifically calibrated for 100 mA current transformer (CT) secondary outputs. It must not be confused with the standard EL3443-0000 (which supports 1 A or 5 A CTs). Attempting to connect a 1 A/5 A CT directly to the EL3443-0011 will saturate the inputs and can permanently damage the internal shunt resistors.
When measuring highly distorted grids, ensure that the harmonic analysis (up to the 40th harmonic) does not exceed the processing bandwidth of your TwinCAT cycle time. If cycle times are set too low, high-frequency CoE uploads of harmonic data can cause E-bus communication timeouts.
Always ensure that the current transformer polarity (K-L / P1-P2) matches the voltage phase allocation. Incorrect polarity or mismatched phases will result in negative active power readings and incorrect power factor (cos phi) calculations in the TwinCAT System Manager.
