1 De-energize the entire ET 200iSP station and connected circuits before installation. Apply appropriate Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to prevent accidental power-up.
2 Securely mount the module onto the corresponding ET 200iSP terminal block on the DIN rail inside a suitably rated enclosure. Ensure it clicks firmly into place.
3 Connect the 4-20mA field wiring to the designated terminals. Use shielded, twisted-pair cable for HART communication to minimize noise interference. Ensure shield is grounded correctly at one end only, typically at the control cabinet side.
4 Verify all wiring terminations are secure and that IS circuit wiring is properly segregated from non-IS wiring as per regulatory requirements.
5 After removing LOTO and re-energizing the system, configure the module's parameters, including HART settings, using the SIMATIC engineering software (e.g., TIA Portal).
