Description

The Siemens 6GK5526-8GS00-2AR2 SCALANCE XR526-8C is a managed Layer 3 Industrial Ethernet switch. It features a 24 V DC power supply and a versatile port configuration including 24x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s RJ45 ports, 8x 100/1000 Mbit/s SFP Combo ports, and 2x 10 Gbit/s SFP+ ports, allowing for a total of 26 usable ports. Designed as a PROFINET IO device, it supports redundancy functions and various office features such as RSTP, VLAN, and IGMP, making it suitable for complex industrial network infrastructures. Installation Guidelines

1. De-energize System: Ensure all power to the installation area and associated equipment is disconnected before beginning any work.
2. Mounting: Securely mount the switch in an industrial enclosure or on a suitable mounting surface, typically a DIN rail or panel, ensuring adequate ventilation.
3. Power Connection: Connect the 24 V DC power supply to the designated terminals, observing correct polarity.
4. Network Connections: Connect Ethernet cables to the RJ45 ports and insert appropriate SFP/SFP+ transceivers into the combo and SFP+ slots, then connect fiber optic cables as required.
5. Grounding: Establish a proper protective earth (PE) connection to the device's grounding terminal to ensure electrical safety and EMC compliance.
